Frequently Asked Questions

2. Is there a minimum and maximum number of hours your company will work for us per week?

No. During our initial interview and assessment, we collaborate with clients to match their needs with our availability.

3. Is a contract signed for services? If yes, how long is the contract period?

Yes. The signed contract is a basis for building a strong working relationship. It provides a record of mutual commitment, expectations, and agreements. The contract period will be determined during the initial interview based on the client’s needs. As those needs change, the contract can be extended and/or renegotiated.

4. What happens, while under contract, if a client is hospitalized, goes to a rehabilitation facility, or moves to hospice care or if the service needs to be changed for other reasons?

We recognize and understand that healthcare needs and living arrangements can change quickly through no fault of the client and/or their family. It is important to communicate those changes quickly and openly so necessary adjustments can be made in a way that’s beneficial to both parties.

Our staff and clients usually develop therapeutic yet close, loving relationships that are comforting for our clients to maintain no matter their location. Therefore, when receiving facilities allow it, we can be hired to stay with clients while hospitalized or in a rehabilitation facility.

Testimonials

“After breaking my leg in late March, I was transferred to the Nursing Home division of Presbyterian Village. I had requested to transition back to my cottage at Presbyterian Village but would require assistance with everyday activities (bathing, toileting, etc.) as well as mobility assistance and house cleaning.

Mr. George Howard has been exemplary in the performance of these assistances. I cannot say enough praises to him for this. My family has nothing but high praise for entrusting his care for me.”

- Dave S., Presbyterian Village

“George Howard and You First Medical Home Health Non Medical, LLC provided care for my brother for the last three years of his life. At first, he needed only part time assistance, but gradually required more help until toward the end he had someone with him 24/7.

George was able to recruit, train, and supervise helpers at each level. They were not only competent but delightful people to know. Toward the end, my brother went into a hospice program. The hospice nurse who made daily visits commented that my brother was receiving the best care of any of her patients.

I highly recommend George Howard and his organization and am willing to talk to you if you are interested in using them.”
